Waves of the Future is a hip hop waving and house dance instructional program created by trend setting New York City hip hop instructor Future.

Future teaches the philosophy, concepts and techniques of hip hop waving, an illusionary improvisational street hip hop dance style.

Waving requires and helps develop an extreme fluidity of movement based on precise muscle control, physical strength and power of visualization.

The movement creates an illusion of waves traveling through the body, making it look like the dancer is under water, or the dancer's body is liquid.

Future starts by listening to the beat of the music, finding and keeping the rhythm, and then introduces his unique system of isolations, preparing you for multi-dimensional full-body waves, and offers a detailed tutorial on footwork patterns that are easy to combine with waves for a varied and dynamic performance.

The core of the waving section of the program is the introduction of the basic waving technique and breaking down step by step a wide range of arm, full body and leg waves.

These include classic hip hop waves as well as Future's signature moves.

Future explores waving in all dimensions, teaches to initiate the waves from any part of your body, and combines dimensions for spectacular three dimensional waving effects featured in Cyclone, Tornado or Mirror waves.

Future teaches a few combinations that come together into a mini dance routine.

Building upon the basic waving technique and basic wave types and dimensions, Future offers a section of advanced waving instruction, including wave variations, combining waves for continuous and sophisticated illusionary effects, combining waves and wave variations with footwork, and adding unique accents.

In the house dance section of the program, Future focuses on musicality and using footwork patterns and combinations to express rhythm, create accents and vary the mood of the dance.
