In the late 1960's, a soulful dance was created in New York City and it was called "Rock".

As the dance grew from the street gangs to just about every neighborhood kid it would be easy to find people "Rocking" at house parties, parks, school yards, block parties, church halls, roller rinks and of course night clubs.

This confrontational battle-type dance, which many believe gave birth to the dance called breaking, died in the early 80's but has made a strong resurgence in the 90's until now.

Legendary dancer Ralph Casanova AKA "King Uprock" authored a DVD called "Uprockers Revenge," which was a collaboration of dance footage, as well as a historical interview based on Rocking.

This DVD helped many learn about this dance which was overshadowed by Breaking but nevertheless still as vital to the Hip Hop culture.

King Uprock's New York's Finest is a continuation of the rawest unseen Rock footage which did not make it into the first DVD.
