It's versatile & I recommend it!
This dvd has clearly detailed descriptions of all the dance moves. Griz also adds style secrets and includes helpful explanations of weight placement and transitions. There are no mirrors, which is why I scored this dvd a 9. It's a personal preference of mine for someone to teach facing the mirror. However, Griz does every move, both facing the camera and facing away. Now onto the moves! Fast 360 - this is the only move I found somewhat awkward. It looks good and for a beginner, it's definitely clearly instructed. If you are a little more advanced though, it might make you feel like you're inhibiting your turning capability. Forward V- very cute and actually gave me a little leg exercise. Gangsta Hop - great movement pattern to build upon with other bboy style toprocks or house dance moves. Harlem Shake - I think it looks sort of silly unless you really know how to do it well; so listen to Griz and practice. Shuffle Spin - cool move and there is a really good description for beginners. When Griz does it at full tempo it looks different than at slow tempo, but it's still the same move. Shoe Slap- it's a cute little move and I appreciate that Griz mentions it is not taught with the intention of you repeating it all night; but rather as an accent. Side Sweeper- definitely my favorite move. It's actually not that hard but it looks really impressive. Griz also adds a cool optional variation to it. Snake Heel Toe - nice easy step. I advise doing some pointing and flexing of the feet prior to practicing this movement. V Mirror - I like this move too, but if you are new to heel toe movement then I recommend you do this before you learn the Side Sweeper. X Hop - looks easy but it is the hardest move in my opinion. Griz breaks it down perfectly. Over all, excellent break downs and good choice of movements. One last thing I'd like to mention. For anyone getting both C Walk 1 & 2, then it makes sense to do C Walk 1 first. However, if you decide to get this one without C Walk...
