DMC Art of Turntablism

In DMC's The Art of Turntablism, Cutmaster Swift talks to DJ's about turntablism and how it's done. There is some good performance footage and some interesting interviews. This movie is great if you want to get to know some of your favorite DJ's and see how they work their magic. The video is organized by different techniques covering scratching, flares, crabs, and even vinyl dexterity. Having so many different DJ's teaching, one DJ right after the other demonstrates how each DJ really has his own unique style. Overall, I'd say that this movie is entertaining and educational. It wasn't the best as far as an instructional video goes and it could have been shot better but I still came away having enjoyed it and feeling like I really got to know some of the best DJs out there.
